we went boating with jason, nicole and their family in may. the water was still freezing, and as you can see in the photos, still plenty of snow in the mountains. that didn't stop us from trying to wakeboard!

watering the yard

i know, i know... i promise this blog isn't only going to be about our dogs, but this was so funny! it's that time of year where we are finally needing to water our yard. we have bought the sprinklers and hose and unfortunatly we have already gone through a couple of sprinklers because of butch. he loves to run through the sprinkler and catch water in his mouth like a little kid. he get's so excited every time we put it out. roxie on the other hand is completly scared of them. she will find the one corner of the yard that doesn't get wet and sit there until we turn it off. well yesterday we were watering the back yard (where the butch and roxie are). we set the sprinkler and then came inside to get some house work done. we both took turns checking on them to make sure they were still in the yard. it was my turn and so i peecked out the back window to see where they were. i didn't see them right off but noticed that the sprinkler had been moved to where they were laying. i yelled to kendall asking if he had moved the sprinkler, he was confused and came to the door to look out. he said he didn't and then asked if i did. well neither of us moved it, so we walked out to make sure it was still functioning okay, and sure enough it was. we looked over at butch and roxie who were both just laying in the sun. we laughed a bit and then went back inside. a little while later kendall was checking on them and once again asked if i had moved the sprinkler. we both went outside again to see the sprinkler moved across the yard and the dogs both laying under the tree where the sprinkler had just been. for the next bit butch would just move the sprinkler from place to place depending on where him and roxie wanted to be. we are both just amazed that the hose and sprinkler are fine and show no marks of butch ever touching them. he did such a good job helping us out!

kendall's new ride

i was asked to show some pictures of our new bike. i forget that not everyone has seen it yet; here it is! kendall has really liked riding to and from work on it lately, there for awhile it was pretty cold in the mornings or it would rain on him on his way home. i honestly didn't feel too bad for him!

last night we were playing tug-o-war as a family and trying to get the kids to sit still for some pictures, didn't work out too well, but here is some of what we got. we are supposed to get family pictures here soon too, hopefully they will sit still for that!

just some info on the pup's:
butch is 2 years old, brindle in color and roxi is 5 months old, chocolate in color. they like to wrestle together and pick on each other. they are pretty entertaining to watch. roxi gets so excited to see you, she wiggles her bum and her whole body goes with it! it's pretty funny. butch is our A.D.D. child! he is constantly excited, running and jumping, very hard to keep up with! they keep us pretty busy.
